Gwenno Saunders used to front the girl-group the Pipettes. Y Dydd Olaf, her solo debut, is a record about the importance of preserving cultural identity in order to resist corporate death, and on it she establishes herself as a visionary of synth-pop moods and textures.
POP IN THE DYSTOPIA
Pop music and the avant-garde don't need to be mutually exclusive. Gwenno has boldly delved into both of those disparate extremes in the span of one LP.

Gwenno is a seasoned professional in the entertainment industry. She’s had stints in Vegas as a dancer for Michael Flately’s ‘Lord Of The Dance’, been a teen-rebel in a TV series in her native Wales and, most recently, a member of the indie-pop outfit The Pipettes.
